NVHS Launches 15th Annual Warm Full Safe Campaign to Prevent Homelessness for Veterans in Brevard

Brevard County, FL, November 25, 2023 – National Veterans Homeless Support (NVHS), a nonprofit organization dedicated to eliminating homelessness among veterans, announced today the launch of its 15th Warm Full Safe campaign, an annual end of year fundraising campaign to raise funds not just for Christmas, but for its ongoing mission of preventing homelessness for veterans all year long.

The Warm Full Safe campaign began with a simple idea: to give homeless veterans a warm and safe place to stay and some basic necessities for Christmas Eve and Day. Over the years, NVHS expanded its program to include financial assistance to help needy veterans who were facing difficulties during the holiday season. Today, this service is not limited to the holidays, but is part of NVHS’s Search and Rescue homelessness prevention activities throughout the year. NVHS realized that “Warm Full Safe” needed to be more than just a holiday event, but a year-round campaign to support struggling veterans.

“Many of our veterans in Brevard face homelessness or the risk of losing their homes. They need our help to get and stay warm, full, and safe. That’s why we are launching our Warm Full Safe campaign as our annual end of year fundraising campaign, to raise funds not only for Christmas, but also for our ongoing mission of eliminating and preventing veteran homelessness all year long. We will keep providing support to our homeless and at-risk veterans and their families over the holidays as we have for 14 years, but the funds raised will also help us continue our efforts to get homeless veterans off the streets and into housing, and prevent veteran families from becoming homeless in the first place.” said George Taylor, president of NVHS.

NVHS is inviting the public to support its Warm Full Safe campaign by making a donation through its website, nvhs.org, by texting “Save a Vet” to 44-321, or by mail at its office at 1436 King St, Cocoa, Florida. NVHS hopes to raise $100,000 between Giving Tuesday, which is on November 28, 2023 and December 31, 2023.

“We are grateful for the support of our partners, who share our vision of preventing homelessness for our veterans all year long. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of our veterans and their families, who have sacrificed so much for our country,” said Taylor.

NVHS will also share the impact of its Warm Full Safe campaign through its social media channels, using the hashtags #WarmFullSafe, #Veterans, and #GivingTuesday. NVHS will feature stories of hope and transformation from the veterans and families it serves, as well as updates on the progress of its fundraising goal.
