George Taylor Jr. carries on late father’s mission of helping homeless veterans; NVHS has made big impact on lives of veterans; partners with organizations.

George Taylor Jr. is president and CEO of National Veterans Homeless Support Inc. in Cocoa. The nonprofit was founded by his father in 2008. George Taylor Sr., a Vietnam veteran, passed away in 2020. The board appointed George Taylor Jr., who was the volunteer vice president for many years, to succeed his father. NVHS has made big strides helping homeless veterans in Brevard. Military Officers Association Provides $90,000 of Grants to 33 Affiliates Across the Country

CAPE CANAVERAL CHAPTER OF MOAA WAS AWARDED ONE OF THE OUTREACH GRANTS OF $3,750 The Military Officers Association of America, a national veterans service organization comprised of military officers and their spouses, and their charitable arm, the MOAA Foundation, provided grants totaling nearly $90,000 to 33 of their affiliates across the country to aid veterans-in-need. Working with NVHS, MOAACC provided eight individual grants of approximately $500 to area veterans or their families for emergency relief, housing, and utility payments. Elected officials connect in solidarity with plight of homeless veterans

Brevard County’s constitutional officers along with NVHS will host the sixth annual Rescuing Veterans Lost in America Gala on Oct. 16 at the Radisson Resort at the Port Convention Center. National Veterans Homeless Support (NVHS) has been instrumental in drastically reducing the homeless veteran population on the Space Coast. The population went from a high of 1,800 homeless veterans in 2008 to less than 300 by 2018. NVHS was chosen to receive a grant from the Military Officers Association of America Cape Canaveral Chapter (MOAACC)

NVHS was chosen to receive a grant in the amount of $3,750 from the Military Officers Association of America Cape Canaveral Chapter (MOAACC) to identity and assist veterans and their families in critical need of assistance with housing, financial or emergency relief. Using the grant, we were able to assist veterans with rent, utilities and deposits. NVHS Volunteers Raise Over $1,000 at Melbourne’s Great Florida Air Show!

NVHS Volunteers Raise Over $1,000 at Melbourne's Great Florida Air Show! A big thank you to our volunteers who worked the beer concession at the Melbourne Air Show May 15th and 16th. NVHS earned 10% of all proceeds from beer sales, and raised more than $1,000 during the two days. We also had an information tent with NVHS volunteers helping to spread the word about our organization and mission. It was a fun filled event with roaring jet engines, adrenaline, and extraordinary feats of aeronautical airmanship by the Navy’s Blue Angels.

Veteran-owned office furniture dealership, Interior Fusion, is opening their third location in Melbourne, located at 3945 W Eau Gallie Blvd. To celebrate, Interior Fusion Melbourne will be donating a portion of the profits from the first two month's sales to NVHS. Sarah Jones and her late husband Sgt.
