NVHS Signature Programs for Homeless Veterans
Every veteran deserves the dignity of stable housing and the support to reclaim their life after service. At National Veterans Homeless Support (NVHS), we meet veterans where they are literally and walk alongside them from crisis to stability.
Since 2008, we’ve reduced veteran homelessness in Brevard County by 90%, and we continue to expand our reach across Central Florida through trusted partnerships, outreach, and wraparound care. Our programs don’t just respond to emergencies; they restore hope.
But we can’t do it alone. Whether you volunteer, donate, or partner with us, your support fuels every life we help change. Explore our programs and join the mission because ending veteran homelessness takes all of us.
Stopping Homelessness Before It Starts
Our Search & Rescue program also includes Homelessness Prevention services, helping to reach out to veterans before they fall through the cracks. Whether facing eviction, job loss, or medical hardship, we act quickly to connect them with financial support, case management, and stability plans that keep them from becoming homeless in the first place.
Real Impact: From Crisis to Stability
When Navy Veteran R. Donnelly lost his job, eviction was just days away. He and his partner were on the verge of homelessness, with no clear path forward. That’s when NVHS stepped in.
Through transitional housing and personalized support, they found solid ground. In just eight months, they paid off debt, repaired their only vehicle, and moved into a permanent apartment, thanks in part to NVHS’s housing assistance.
Today, they’re debt-free and running a growing candle business, focused on their future instead of just surviving the present.
Their story is proof: when support comes at the right time, it doesn’t just prevent homelessness, it transforms lives.
Your Support Matters
Your donation powers every mile we walk, every tent we find, and every veteran we help restore. From crisis outreach to housing, mental health support to benefit navigation, NVHS programs exist because people like you choose to care.
Together, we’ve reduced veteran homelessness in Brevard County by 90% but we’re not done yet. With your help, we can reach the last 10%.
Join us as a donor, volunteer, leader, or sponsor. Every role matters.
Because no hero should be left behind. If you or someone you know is a veteran in Brevard County struggling with housing, please get in touch with us. We’re here to help.

“Regardless if it’s rescuing veterans from homeless camps or organizing stand-downs to make sure they have the needed supplies, NVHS leads the way.”
