Let us share the story of Katherine T., a 75-year-old disabled Air Force veteran living on a fixed income. Katherine came to our NVHS office one day, worried about her safety and independence. This new porch changed Katherine’s life. It restored her confidence, allowed her to reconnect with neighbors, and gave her a renewed sense of independence and dignity.
