Workplace Giving
Why Workplace Giving Matters
Workplace giving is a powerful way to support our mission of ending homelessness among veterans. It allows employees to contribute to our cause through their workplace, making it easy and convenient to give back. By participating in workplace giving programs, you can make a significant impact on the lives of veterans in need.
Types of Workplace Giving Programs
United Way Campaigns
As a United Way partner agency, you can designate part or all of your United Way campaign donation to go directly to us. This is a simple and effective way to support our mission through your workplace giving program.
Combined Federal Campaign (CFC)
We are a Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) organization. If you are a federal employee, including U.S. military personnel, you can designate your donation directly to our organization using our CFC code: 67808. Your contributions through the CFC help us provide essential services to veterans in need.
Matching Gifts
Many employers offer matching gift programs, where they match the charitable donations made by their employees. This can double or even triple the impact of your donation. Check with your human resources department to see if your employer offers a matching gift program and how to set it up to benefit our organization.
Volunteer Grants
Some companies provide donations for employees who volunteer their time. If you volunteer with us, your employer may offer a grant based on the number of hours you volunteer. This is a great way to support our mission through both your time and your employer’s resources.
How to Participate
- Check with Your Employer: Contact your human resources department to learn about your company’s workplace giving programs, including United Way campaigns, CFC participation, matching gifts, and volunteer grants.
- Designate Your Donation: If participating in a United Way campaign or the CFC, designate your donation to our organization. Use our CFC code 67808 for federal campaigns.
- Set Up Matching Gifts: If your employer offers a matching gift program, follow their process to set up a matched donation. Provide any necessary information about our organization, and we will be happy to coordinate with your employer.
- Log Volunteer Hours: If your company offers volunteer grants, make sure to log your volunteer hours with us and submit the necessary documentation to your employer.
Our Impact
Workplace giving has made a significant impact on our organization. In 2023, NVHS made significant strides in assisting veterans and their families, with a 36% increase in total clients assisted compared to 2022. We supported 353 veterans and 191 of their family members through our Search and Rescue Program and Transitional Housing Program. Additionally, our efforts helped reduce the homeless veteran population in Brevard County by 90%, from 1,800 in 2008 to less than 200 in 2024. These contributions through workplace giving help fund essential services like street outreach to find homeless veterans, preventing evictions through case management and financial assistance, and providing transitional housing. We also educate the public on Post Traumatic Stress and provide creative therapy events for our veterans, including arts and crafts, outdoor activities, and holiday-based activities to help reduce stress and foster a sense of belonging.

Specific Purpose Donations
While we greatly appreciate all donations and prefer to allocate funds where they are most needed, we understand that some donors may have specific purposes in mind for their contributions. If you would like your donation to be used for a specific purpose, please indicate this clearly in your submission. We will ensure that your contribution is allocated according to your wishes.
