Transitional Housing Program
Our Supportive Housing Program provides transitional housing to formerly homeless veterans and their dependents with the primary purpose being helping the clients achieve self-sufficiency and sustainability. The program currently has a maximum capacity of 17 beds located in 4 properties throughout Brevard County. During this time the veterans are assisted with developing individualized plans to get them back on their feet again such as employment, disability claims, and life skills.
Homeless veterans tell us that they struggle to get or keep employment due to not having a stable place to live. Without a consistent place to stay where they can get rest, keep clothes clean, and regularly keep their hygiene up, getting and keeping a job is extremely difficult. Having identification and a mailing address is needed for many job applications, services, and benefits.
We work with our veterans to better their situation and use their transitional housing time wisely. We are proud to be part of this monumental time in their lives where they are working to regain control of their lives.
